Manufacturing
New manufacturing is part of our business that ranges from single weldments to complete design and building of MSHA- and Pennsylvania-approved machines. New products such as shuttle cars, track cleaners, loaders, and custom fit heavy forklifts to fit any series scoop are available to customer specifications. We also fabricate steel and structural frames and fixtures of any size.
Rebuild
Our technicians do repairs, redesigns, upgrades, and full rebuilds for a variety of underground mining equipment. This includes continuous miners, shuttle cars, loading machines, bolters, coal haulers, scoops, feeder breakers, tunneling machines, and rail equipment.
Scopes of work can range from component repairs to ground-up rebuilds. We have the ability to make an array of modifications such as changing rubber-tired bolters to track-mounted along with upgrading axles, drive trains, and modifying frames. Electrical repairs, updates, and modifications are done in-house by qualified electricians.

Engineering and Quality
Francis Enterprises, Inc., is authorized to provide engineering services through the State of West Virginia, WV COA 03811. Our engineering department is managed by our Professional Engineer, Howard Mearns, PE 20511.
Our products and processes are fully documented and tracked for each job individually. For design and engineering, we use the current version of Autodesk™ Product Design Suite Professional™. Our drawings and production information is stored in a single location to preserve version and design changes hierarchy.
