Exam Manager Software
MSHA and State authorities require per shift, weekly, and monthly examinations by various qualified personnel. Those examinations must be documented by those people in a permanent record. The law allows those records to be kept electronically. The task of ensuring those records are up to date and that all of them are in compliance is a significant and somewhat tedius task. To improve the success rate and reduce errors and ultimately to attain a higher level of safety and reduce hazards, Exam Manager will allow the examiners to enter their records electronically. Exam manager will then notify personnel of out-of-compliance or unexamined items in a timely manner so that repairs can be completed and compliance and safety are achieved while expensive fines are avoided. All at a reduced cost in hours spent previously for the same tasks.

Anyone with access to the mine’s network can view the archived and current examination records.
Personnel with an assigned username and password can access existing and enter
New records from any device with access to the mine’s network.

Exam Entry Form
Upon login, the user is presented with this screen. A location should be selected in the
upper left corner and the Go/Refresh button clicked. This will then display the items associated
with the location selected. Conditions and actions should be selected for each item and
then the submit button may be clicked to submit the exam for the record.

Exam History Archive
There are several ways to get to this page.
- View button on the home page- Archive button on the report forms- Clicking on the linked name of a location such as a power center Each link shown, will display the history of an individual item.

Single Item Exam History
If you click on a linked item anywhere in the database,
it will display the complete examination history for that item.
All of the exams entered will be displayed including exams that
were examined more than once to reflect changes to repair and
item and place it back in service.
