Francis Advanced Steering Technology
The purpose of our steering system is to provide a relief valve for each of the four steered wheels on the shuttle car while positioning all of the system components in more easily accessible locations for ease of maintenance. The system also allows for electronic steering input from a local or remote operator.
Tested Underground
The system has seen approximately 20 months of operation underground.
Conventional System
All wheels impart stresses on one another and break when the systems capacity is reached.
Electro hydraulic System
Each wheel has an independed steering cylinder with a hydraulic relief. All four steering cylinders are linked electronically.
